Vedic Seva Charitable Trust

These Messaging Terms and Conditions (“Messaging Terms”) govern your access to, use of, and interactions with the text messaging platform used by Vedic Seva Charitable Trust (VSCT) to deliver text messages to you. The text messaging platform and all text messages from VSCT are collectively referred to as the “VSCT Messaging Services.”

  • Message Frequency

    The frequency of messages sent as part of the VSCT Messaging Services will vary. Vedic Seva Charitable Trust reserves the right to alter the frequency of messages at any time, either increasing or decreasing the total number of messages sent. On average, as of the last updated date of these Messaging Terms, we send approximately four messages per month. These messages may include, but are not limited to, information about VSCT’s charitable initiatives, fundraising requests, promotional messages, and opportunities for engagement such as surveys or petitions.

  • Consent to Receive Messages

    By subscribing to the VSCT Messaging Services, you consent to receive automated informational, promotional, and marketing text messages from Vedic Seva Charitable Trust. Consent to receive automated marketing text messages is not a condition of receiving any goods or services.

  • Charges and Fees

    VSCT does not charge you a fee to receive text messages. However, message and data rates may apply, as per your mobile service provider’s terms. Charges are billed and payable to your mobile service provider or deducted from your prepaid account.

  • Data Collection and Use

    Data obtained from you in connection with the VSCT Messaging Services may include your mobile phone number, your carrier’s name, and the date, time, and content of your messages. Vedic Seva Charitable Trust may use this information to contact you and provide the services you request. Please note that text message alerts may not be delivered if your mobile phone is not in range of a transmission site, or if there is insufficient network capacity at a particular time. Factors such as your equipment, terrain, proximity to buildings, foliage, and weather can interfere with message delivery. Wireless operators do not guarantee message delivery and will not be held liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

  • Liability

    Vedic Seva Charitable Trust will not be liable for any delays in the receipt of any SMS message as delivery is subject to effective transmission from your network operator. You are solely responsible for making all arrangements necessary to access the VSCT Messaging Services, including securing connections, and for any telecommunication fees.

    The VSCT Messaging Services are provided through Upland Software Mobile Commons.

  • Age Restriction

    You must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction of residence to subscribe to the VSCT Messaging Services.
